Content

The unit examines the financial accounting 'cycle', from the recording of relevant transactions through to the preparation of financial statements.

Assessment

Assessment 1 (Group of 4 students) - Peer assessment involving learning base problem - 2000 words 10%

Assessment 2 (Individual) - Case study of accounting transactions manually entered and using MYOB to produce financial statements - equivalent to 3000 words 30%

Examination 2 hours 60%

Hurdle requirement: achieve at least 50% of the marks available on the examination.

It is recommended that students also complete an online test that has no assessment weightings or marks allocated.
