Content
This unit explores the benefits fundraising and sponsorship offer cultural organisations in an environment that has shifted from a product to a market focus and with a declining government funding base. The unit will give students the opportunity to understand and analyse a fundraising or sponsorship case study and the contextual pressures that affect its outcome. The topics to be addressed in this unit include the nature and role of fundraising; the principles and practices of government relations and corporate sponsorship; philanthropy and donors.Assessment
