Content
This unit includes: functions and limits; derivatives and integrals of combinations of polynomials, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions; sequences, series tests and power series; vectors, lines and planes; first order differential equations. Applications studied include graph sketching; approximations to solutions of equations and integrals; formulation of models to solve science and engineering problems.Assessment
Examination 60%, four assignments (10% each) 40%. To be eligible to obtain a pass in this unit, students must achieve a mark of at least 40% in the examination.
