SIT384 - Corporate Computer and Network Security

Campus: 2 x 1 hour class per week, 1 x 2 hour practical per week.
Cloud (online): Learning experiences are via CloudDeakin. Students will have the opportunity to participate in online consultation sessions.
In SIT384 students will learn about corporate computer and network environment, associated security issues and strategic risk management. In particular, this unit will explore problems of insecurity to measure the levels of corporate computer and network security. Using case studies, students will evaluate security threats, corporate policies that govern the operation of the IT infrastructure, network security standards and incident response techniques. During practical sessions, students will have the opportunity to master technical and non-technical methods to secure corporate computer and communication network systems.
