3 x 1 hour online lectures per week, 5 x 4 hour practical experience (laboratory) per trimester.

Content

SLE210 will build on the student’s level-one chemistry knowledge. The aim of this unit is to broaden knowledge and understanding of a range of chemistry concepts and to develop practical skills as a member of a team in a chemistry laboratory. Topics covered in this unit include atomic and molecular orbitals, introductory spectroscopy, organometallic complexes, the state of the matter, order in solids, and applications of chemical equilibrium.

ULO These are the Learning Outcomes (ULO) for this unit. At the completion of this unit, successful students can: Deakin Graduate Learning Outcomes
ULO1
