Students' gateway to Campus

Get involved - all students

Whether you have come to University straight from high school or have a few years work experience on your resume, University can be a daunting place at first. There is no one to run after you for handing in assignments. However, you are expected to do a lot of self-study and hit the ground running. All this can get a bit overwhelming sometimes. So what do you do?

All this can get easy if you have someone to work with. We suggest participating in social activities and events, taking trips and tours and making friends in the process. After all, everything is fun with a friend. After browsing through the Getting Involved site, you will find that there are plenty of things to do on campus-from being a mentor to opportunities to study abroad or unleash the creative writer in you. So what are you waiting for? Have a look and take advantage of the many opportunities available to you as a Deakin student.

In the end, not only will you have an impressive resume but will have cultivated so many friends that you wouldn't want Uni life to get over.
