Deakin Interactive Group for Information Technology and Systems (DIGITS) is a student group which helps to increase student engagement, establish partnerships with industry, develop employability skills, create motivating activities to enhance student’s overall calibre and helps students in many ways.
The group organises several social events like BBQs, DIGITS Ball, DIGITS fun time on Facebook, networking events, recruitment workshops and seminars to facilitate the overall development of students through a range of social and academic activities.
The group has several industrial partners like PwC, KPMG, E&Y , Deloitte, GS1, IBM, ACS-Young IT, APESMA, Professional Pathways Australia (PPA), Mahindra and Satyam.

The Burwood Science Club is a social and special interest club for students who are studying Bachelor of Science and/or Bachelor of Biological Science as well as Faculty staffs based at the Melbourne Burwood Campus.
Students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Science as a single or combined degree is automatically accepted as a member of the Burwood Science Club. Special scientific and social events and regular updates in the form of a newsletter are sent via the Deakin email account to students and staff periodotically throughout the year.
