Fourth year, Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science
Geelong Campus at Waurn Ponds
I would have to say that the most challenging thing I have found about university life is simply just trying to find the time for it all. There is always so much going on! Whether it be classes, practicals, assignments, examinations (which include those last minute cramming sessions!) or the fun stuff like DUSA free lunches, short trips, sport or just hanging out with your class mates.
I have always felt that it is important to not only take your studies seriously but to have a big social component as well, which is why I immediately joined the Student Association (DUSA) and became a student representative in my second year. DUSA is the best way to find out what’s going on around your Campus. Finding out there is a market day or sporting event coming up gives you something to look forward to and helps make university not just a place where you go to study and learn, but a place of fun as well.
