Cultural Ambassador Program
The Cultural Ambassador Program is YOUR chance to represent your home culture at Deakin.
As a Cultural Ambassador, you will work closely with the International Student Support Team to create opportunities for social and cultural engagement. You will advise our team on the specific cultural requirements of your country and you will help us to devise programs of cultural significance throughout the year.
You will be the voice of your community and will work closely with us to relay any concerns your community may have about their life in Australia and at Deakin.
To be eligible, you need to be available from T2 in one year to the end of T2 the next. This year's Ambassadors will complete their term at the end of T2 next year.
To nominate yourself, just make a video of why you think YOU would be the best representative of your culture and upload it to the Ning and encourage people to vote for you.
Each nationality participating in the CAP has its own group on the Ning. Upload your video to your nationality CAP group.
Nominations for the 2012/2013 CAP year should be online no later than midnight on Friday 14 September.
Voting will start on Monday 17 September and voting will close at midnight on Sunday 23 September.
