Support Programs

The International Student Support Team currently runs two programs specifically for international students on all Deakin campuses.

ISS-Connect is the volunteer student program designed to assist new international students just before, during and immediately after the Orientation period. The program starts prior to arrival by offering new international students the opportunity to connect with the ISS-Connect volunteers and the ISAs through our social media website, the Ning. ISS-Connect runs through the orientation program and into week four of each trimester.

SHINE is the new social support program for HDR students and their families. Its aim is to provide opportunities for social inclusion and assist the families of HDR students to adjust to their new life in Australia.
