Printing costs
All print jobs sent to a printer are identified by the username of the person logged into the workstation that initiated the printing. To release your printing you will need to swipe your Deakin card at your preferred printer.
Before a print job is sent to the printer a popup checker is displayed to count the number of pages and the cost of your printing. The cost per page for printing is calculated by the number of pages in your document not per page output from the printer (duplex is charged as two pages). You must confirm that you want to print before your document is sent to the printer. Payment for printing is made from your Deakin Card and its balance is reduced as each print job passes through the printer.
Payment for printing is automated in that you should merely see your Deakin Card balance reduced as each job is printed.
There are black and white A4 and A3, and A4 colour printers available. The cost per page depends on the paper size and printer chosen.
