What does scan to email cost?

Scan to email is free of charge.

Can I scan to email using any email address?

No, scan to email will only work using your Deakin email address. Enter your Deakin Username. It will automatically add "@deakin.edu.au " when you email it.

Can I scan to email a colour document or photo?

Yes. You can scan in colour, A4 and A3.

What is the file size limit for scan to email?

Each scan to email is limited to 30 megabytes, so scan in small batches of up to 10 pages.

What resolutions can I scan in using scan to email?

You can scan resolutions of up to 600 dpi for black and white or 300 dpi for colour.

What does it cost to download the attachments from my Deakin email?

You can download your email attachments via a Deakin Lab, Deakin Wireless, VPN , or a Telstra Deakin Broadband scheme for free. Please be aware that if downloading email using an independent internet company they may charge you for the download.

How do I scan to email?

From any Deakin Lexmark MFP(touch screen model):

Select 'email' button from Main Menu.

Type only your Deakin Username. It automatically adds @deakin.edu.au when you email it.

Place media on flat bed or loose papers in document feeder face up.

To scan different sizes than A4 select 'options' and change the 'original size'.

To copy in colour select 'options' and then select the 'colour' button, this will change to blue.

Press the 'email it' button.
