The Australian Government has developed a National Code, commonly referred to as "ESOS" (Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000), which is part of Australian law to protect international students. It has a number of standards, regulating how universities market their courses, select students, enrol and support students, monitor their progress and deal with any complaints or concerns. For all queries on the Code or concerns arising from it, we recommend you talk to an International Student Adviser first.
International Student Advisers provide a wide range of advice including help with personal issues, taking a break from studies and general visa queries.
