Position title and short job description:

Registered Architect. Our firm is involved in commercial projects, and my role includes liaising with clients, consultants and contractors. I also undertake project documentation and contract administration.

Working highlight so far:

To contribute to the creation of space, to watch the progress of a building emerging from a site and the new relationships it creates with the surrounding environment.

What are the things you enjoy most about your job?

I really enjoy the teamwork and collaboration with clients, consultants and contractors. I find the daily problem solving to be a very satisfying and mentally rewarding aspect of the job.

An area in which you have needed assistance:

At the beginning, all of it, university gives you a good foundation but nothing can prepare you for the reality of being involved in the construction process. Every project is different and you are constantly learning new things, whether it be materials, construction methods, regulations or administration techniques.
