What year did you start working for this organisation?
I commenced as a Trainee Solicitor in January 2010 at Cosgriff Orchard Legal in Echuca. I was admitted in February 2011 and moved to Perisic & Thomas in Geelong in January 2012.

Contacted prior to position advertising. Interview set up through networks established at University.
Position title and short job description:
Family Law Solicitor - involves working in federal jusrisdictions (Family Court and Federal Magistrates Court) in addition to state jurisdiction (Magistrates Court and Children's Court (usually Family Division).
Working highlight so far:
Child under 16 years acquitted under Unfit to be Tried legislation.
What are the things you enjoy most about your job?
Assistance of people from low socio-economic areas and who would otherwise not have access to legal assistance.
What has been an area that you have needed assistance?
You need a lot of assistance as a young lawyer! It takes years of experience and you may never have all the answers.
What do you intend to do in the future?
Continue working as a Family Law Solicitor.
