Innovex.

How long have you been working for this organisation?

3 months.

Position title and short job description:

Medical Representative. I visit GP’s and pharmacists with the aim of promoting pharmaceuticals.

Working highlight so far:

Aside from the travel, I work with fun, energetic people which is awesome, and I get to discuss pharmacology and physiology with people who are as passionate as I am. I have learnt so much, not just about science, but also about sales and business.

An area in which you have needed assistance:

Sales skills and effective questioning to discover information from customers who aren't very forthcoming.

What do you intend to do in the future?

I don’t really have any idea, but I love pharmaceuticals and so I’m sure when I learn more I’ll find a world of possibilities.

#1 tip for current students studying your course:

If you don’t really know what career your looking for, follow the subjects you like and talk to people in the industry and get a good idea of the career opportunities open to you. Think realistically about what you want out of a job and whether the pro’s and con’s are what you want out of a career.
