Flight Nurse/Midwife (clinical). Evacuation and transfer of emergency patients through the use of fixed wing aircraft across QLD and the Torres Straight Islands.
Working highlight so far:
Flying onto a dirt strip in the middle of a cattle property at night, illuminated only by flares to retrieve a trauma patient.
What are the things you enjoy most about your job?
The variety every day and working with enthusiastic professionals who also love their job.
An area in which you have needed assistance:
Working in an enclosed space with very limited resources.
What do you intend to do in the future?
Nurse practitioner/masters in aeromedical retrieval.
