Senior Lecturer, School of Nursing and the Coordinator of Postgraduate Critical Care Suite.

Working highlight so far:

Leading the professional development of key health professionals - critical care nurses in Victoria and New South Wales. Specifically, being in a leadership position to motivate and inspire critical care nurses to deliver the highest standard of nursing care to cardiac, emergency and intensive care patients

What are the things you enjoy most about your job?

  • Our postgraduate team, and the leadership provided in the Faculty of Health and School of Nursing which I find empowering.
  • Having a positive influence on individual critical care nurses and the care that they deliver to critically ill patients and advancing the discipline of nursing.
  • That I can combine clinical, education and research.

An area in which you have needed assistance:

Accepting that to do the job properly takes over 70 hours per week every week of the year.

What do you intend to do in the future?

Continue to advance my career at Deakin.
