Position title and short job description:

Administration Assistant - Sports administrator with some sports management responsibilities. Report directly to the CEO and work closely with the competitions and events, and development departments.

Working highlight so far:

Surviving a whole year in the administration of Hockey, without knowing much about the actual sport! A key highlight would have to be being in charge of and successfully organising the 2008 Hockey Grand Final day at the State Netball and Hockey Centre.

What are the things you enjoy most about your job?

The variety and learning new things every day.

Initially learning how the hockey competitions are run.

Plan what your major is going to be and what area of sport you want to end up in. Think about studying overseas and seriously think about doing honours or post-graduate courses.
