Assistant Physical Preparation Coach. Assisting with all aspect of the preparation of players. Including:

  • strength and conditioning,
  • injury rehab and
  • athlete monitoring.

Working highlight so far:

Having the time and resources to implement applied sport science and see the impact of this on performance.

What are the things you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy the variety in my job as well as the culture of performance and continual improvement.

An area in which you have needed assistance:

Dealing with the high pressure environment and high media exposure.

What do you intend to do in the future?

I aim to work in the AFL as a high performance manager.

#1 tip for current students studying your course:

Get as much practical coaching experience as you can with different sports, ages, ability levels and genders. It all helps you to be a better coach and communicator.
