- About Deakin
Each campus administrative centre is Deakin Central. If you did not receive a Deakin Card at your enrolment then you should visit staff at Deakin Central to obtain your card.
Is this your first Deakin Card?
If you have not had a Deakin Card before then you should bring with you some form of photo ID such as a passport or driver's licence. You should also bring your Student ID number which will be on any formal paperwork from Deakin University.
If you have had a Deakin Card before and it has expired, then you should bring it with you as proof of identification and a new card will be printed with an up-to-date expiry date.
You will have your photograph taken and your card will be printed while you wait. If this is a replacement card, you may choose to keep your previous photograph.
User Guide and Terms and Conditions
You will receive a copy of the Terms & Conditions of Use for Deakin Card. Ensure that you read over this document as it gives valuable and important information.
Cost of Card
Your Deakin Card is free of charge. Fees may apply for a replacement card.
Loading of Funds
When your card is printed you are able to load funds immediately. Deakin Central staff can load funds onto your card if you wish to use it straight away!
When you have your card printed you will need to wait 20 minutes before attempting to swipe your card for printing.
Keep your Card safe
Remember your Deakin Card is the only accepted form of identification for students and staff while you are on campus. You are required to carry it at all times.
You are also entitled to a Deakin Card and are required to send a photo to Waurn Ponds Deakin Central, Building jb, Level 2, Pigdons Rd, Geelong 3217. To ensure that you enclose the appropriate documentation, you should contact Deakin Central on 03 5227 2333 or email them at the email address below.
