Room bookings

Teaching spaces may be available for students to book for study, project or assignment purposes. To book a teaching space please follow the steps below.

1. Check availability

Checking the availability of a particular space before you proceed with your booking request may save some time.

2. Seek approval

Bookings for teaching spaces must be approved by your Faculty. Please discuss your requirements with your Lecturer/Tutor, who must submit the booking on your behalf.

3. Confirm your booking

A confirmation will be emailed to your Lecturer/Tutor once your booking has been finalised. Please check with your Lecturer/Tutor that your booking has been confirmed.

4. Guidelines for using the space

Please keep the following guidelines in mind when using the space.
•    Please carry your student ID card with you when using the space you have booked. Deakin Security will request your student ID for inspection on routine patrols.
•    Please be conscious of classes or exams being run nearby. Noise must be kept to a minimum.
•    Please ensure that the space is returned to its original configuration after use and that no rubbish is left behind.
•    If you experience any problems with the facility please contact ITSD (for audiovisual issues) or FMSD (for other issues)
•    In the event of an emergency please contact Deakin Security immediately.

5. How to cancel a booking

Please cancel any bookings that you no longer require at your earliest opportunity, so the space is available for someone else to book. This ensures the best utilisation of University facilities. Please inform your Lecturer/Tutor as soon as possible to cancel your booking.
