Student Loans
The University, through Student Administration, provides interest free student loans, for study related expenses, to students who are in financial need and are progressing satisfactorily with their studies.
Currently enrolled undergraduate, postgraduate, Off-Campus, full time and part time students in an award course are eligible to apply. Further information is available by contacting a Financial Assistance Officer at any Deakin University campus.

Please note: where the loan is not repaid according to the Student Loan Contract, debt recovery processes may be triggered and interest on the outstanding amount will be charged. Information about penalties for non-compliance.
Emergency Tuition Fee Loans
The purpose of the Student Loan Fund is to enable currently enrolled full-fee paying Deakin University students, residing and studying in Australia and who are facing proven financial hardship through changes in circumstances outside their control, to continue their studies.
The Tuition Fee Loan is to cover payment of tuition fees only (not including retained fees). It is not to cover personal living expenses.

Full fee paying students are also eligible to apply for a loan for living expenses from the Deakin University Student Loan Fund available by contacting Student Life.
