Study Information

Applying

Applying to go on an Exchange, Study Abroad or Summer/Winter program is simple:

  1. Attend an Information Session.
  2. Review your guide to studying overseas (475 KB).
  3. Start the application process early. Be aware of the relevant application deadlines.
  4. Check the recommended destination guides that list the university program majors for your course.
  5. Complete the application form (287 KB) with the application checklist.
  6. Submit your application to the Education Abroad office.

After you apply

Once you have submitted your application, the education abroad office will contact your faculty who is responsible for selecting you for the exchange or study abroad program.

In the case of the exchange program, the education abroad office will also contact your proposed host university. If more students have applied than the host university can accept, we may contact you and ask you to consider changing your destination.

The education abroad office will make contact with the applicant within three months of applying as this process can take considerable time for confirmation from the host university.

Once your initial application is approved, you will be sent an offer letter including an application for the host university.

If your application is unsuccessful however, you will receive a letter notifying you of the outcome.
