Applications/nominations close for the following Student Prize categories if you completed your course during Trimesters 1 or 2, 2011:

  • Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Outstanding Contribution to University Life
  • Vice-Chancellor's Prize
  • The Austin and Valerie Asche Essay Prize in Contemporary Australian Society and Culture
  • The Isi Leibler Prize
  • Alfred Deakin Medal.

Faculties to forward applications/nominations (for students who completed their course in Trimesters 1 and 2, 2011) for the following Student Prize categories to the Secretary, Student Prizes and Awards Subcommittee:

  • Vice-Chancellor's Prize
  • The Austin and Valerie Asche Essay Prize in Contemporary Australian Society and Culture
  • The Isi Leibler Prize.

Faculties/Institutes to forward nominations for the following Student Prize category to the Secretary, Research Awards Subcommittee:

  • Alfred Deakin Medal for Best Doctoral Thesis

Research Awards Subcommittee and Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor to forward recommendation for studnet prizes to the Secretary, Student Prizes and Awards Subcommittee for the following student prizes:

  • Alfred Deakin Medal for Best Doctoral Thesis
  • Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Outstanding Contribution to University Life 
February 2012

Meeting of the Student Prizes and Awards Subcommittee to determine final recommendations for a student prize.

April 2012

Awarding of prizes at Graduation Ceremony.
