Re-enrolment

Re-enrolment overview

All students are required to re-enrol online using StudentConnect for the following academic year, including those:

  • who anticipate that their academic progress may be unsatisfactory in the current year;
  • who have approved intermission ending in Trimester 1 in the following year (you should still enrol for Trimester 2);
  • who are applying to transfer to another course within Deakin University (you should still re-enrol in your current course).

You must re-enrol in all the units you wish to study in both Trimester 1 and 2. You must go through all the steps of re-enrolment in StudentConnect and take a note of the receipt number at the end of the process. Without it you may not have re-enrolled correctly.

Re-enrolment deadlines 2013

Enrolments for students from all faculties are open from

3 September and close on 30 September 2012.

Failure to re-enrol

  • If you do not re-enrol by the deadline, you will incur a $200 late re-enrolment fee or your enrolment may be discontinued.
  • If you intermit for any trimester and then seek to return early from intermission, you cannot do so unless there are places available in that course, please seek advice from your Enrolment Officer/Course Adviser.

Handbook and enrolment advice

You should access the online Handbook to help with your unit selections. Use Course Search and Unit Search for more details. And be sure to make a note of the relevant course and unit rules before making your selections.

It may be helpful to be prepared, with a full detailed list of the units (and their trimester of offer) you wish to undertake, before you log in to StudentConnect to re-enrol.

You may encounter some rule breaches when you re-enrol. To find out what any rule breaches mean visit the rule breaches and invalid unit web site.

It is strongly recommended that you discuss your re-enrolment with your Enrolment Officer/Course Adviser.

To intermit or discontinue your course

If you wish to intermit or discontinue your course,  please seek advice from your Enrolment Officer/Course Adviser. There are options that may help you make a more informed choice.

If you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed, there are free and confidential support services available to you through Student Life.
