Deakin University Participation Partnership Program Accommodation Scholarships Burwood (DUPPP)

If you have commenced your first year of undergraduate studies in 2013 at the Melbourne Burwood Campus, please consider applying for a Deakin University Participation Partnership Program Accommodation Scholarships Burwood (DUPPP). Without the financial pressures of living away from home, you can focus on achieving academic success in your 2013 studies.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Australian citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • a current student enrolled full time in the first year of your undergraduate bachelor degree in a Commonwealth supported place in 2013
  • come from a rural or regional home location
  • have moved from your home location to study on campus at the Melbourne Burwood Campus and live on Residence
  • be in receipt of a Centrelink benefit or can demonstrate that you have a personal or family taxable income below the HECS-HELP repayment threshold depending on independence status

Your application will be assessed and ranked based on the information you provide in your application and supporting documentation.

Value

Up to $5000 towards Trimester 1 2013 accommodation costs in Deakin University residences at the Burwood Student Village.

One-off payment to assist with Trimester 1 2013 accommodation costs

Number per year

Up to 10

Special conditions

Successful applicants are not permitted to hold this scholarship concurrently with any other accommodation scholarship.

As part of the application process you will also be required to provide supporting documentation.  You should upload your supporting documentation as part of the online application process.

The supporting documentation required includes evidence of:

  • your financial hardship
  • any medical condition
  • any other disadvantage you are experiencing
  • confirmation of any statement you have provided in your online application
