Deakin May and Romeo Schiavon honours scholarships in rural and regional journalism

This scholarship was established by the May and Romeo Schiavon Endowment to encourage students to undertake an honours project in regional journalism.

Value

Cash payment or student contributions of up to $5000.

Duration

One year, it is expected that the recipient will complete their honours year within 12 calendar months.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:

  • an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • enrolled full time in an honours degree with the Faculty of Arts and Education at Deakin University in a Commonwealth Supported Place undertaking a project in regional journalism.

Academic achievement and submission of a proposal for an honours project in regional journalism.
