Winter Semester Studies
(Note: Full Fee Paying Units only)
Deakin University now offers a range of units through its intensive Winter Semester Studies Program. This gives existing students the opportunity to accelerate the completion of their course during the inter-semester break.
Important dates
- Friday 18 April 2008 - Enrolments open via StudentConnect

- Sunday 15 June 2008 - Enrolments close
- Semester dates 30 June to 18 July 2008
- Friday 11 July 2008 - Census Date - this is the last date to withdraw from Winter Semester without academic and financial liability.
- 12 July 2008 - Last date for a withdrawn late on your academic record
- 14 July 2008 - Last date for a withdrawn fail on your academic record.
Please note that to enrol in Winter Semester:
- You must be a current student of the University. New students cannot commence their course in Winter Semester
- There are no Commonwealth Supported Places in this semester. All units are offered on a full fee-paying basis
- Refer to the Handbook for unit prices and the fees website for more information
- Commonwealth Supported students studying a Winter unit may access FEE-HELP (if eligible). To apply for FEE-HELP, you must complete a hardcopy 'Request for FEE-HELP assistance' form by the census date of 11 July 2008. This form can be obtained from Deakin Central or by calling 03 9244 6333.
- Some units have maximum quotas and/or may be cancelled if there are too few enrolments.

Below is a list of available units. Winter Semester units have been chosen as being specifically appropriate to study in an intensive mode. No unit offered has an examination as part of the assessment, they are all assignment based. Due to the intensive study mode, students are only able to undertake one on campus unit during Winter Semester.
