About Calendar

The Calendar tool enables you to view course-related and University wide events. You can view dates posted for units, such as project due dates, office hours, and exam information to track group meetings, milestones, and deadlines.

Access the Calendar tool

Do one of the following:

  • Click theopen calendar iconOpens the Calendar tool icon in the Events widget on a unit homepage.
  • Click theopen calendar iconOpens the Calendar tool icon in the Calendar widget on a unit homepage.

From the main Calendar page you can:

  • See a single day, week, or a month at a time.
  • Use the Day, Week, and Month tabs across the top of the page to change the calendar display. 
  • View the events for a specific day by clicking a specific date on the Date Picker widget and also on the Calendar Grid.

On the Calendar page, you can see a single day, week, or a month at a time.

Change your Calendar view

  1. Access the calendar from:
    • Events widget
    • Calendar widget
  2. Click on the Day, Week, or Month tabs. You can also click the date in the monthly and weekly view to switch to the day view.

Move between days, weeks, or months

  1. Access the calendar from:
    • Events widget
    • Calendar widget
  2. Click the next and previous arrows in one of two locations:
    • On the Date Picker to see the next or previous months
    • On the Calendar grid

Managing your Calendar and its events

Change your calendar settings

From the Settings page, you can set personal display properties for your calendar.

  1. From the Calendar Areas, clicksettings iconSettings.
  2. Change the settings you want:
    • Day view
      Sets the schedule to display 1 hour intervals for the whole day, or only at a certain time. E.g., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Week view
      Sets the schedule to show all 7 days, or only Monday to Friday.
    • Access Events
      Shares your schedule with other groups, or with everyone.
  3. Click Save.

Print your Calendar

  1. On the Calendar page, select the day, week, or monthly view depending what you want to print.
  2. Navigate to the day, week, or month you want to print
  3. Click on the Print icon.
  4. In the pop-up window, click Print again.

Print an event

  1. On the Calendar page, click the link for the event.
  2. Click on the Print icon.
  3. In the pop-up window, click Print again.
