Orientation: Make a great start at Deakin!

Learn about your course

During Orientation you're expected to attend your Faculty and School welcome and information sessions. These sessions are extremely important because they will:

• Help you to understand more about what you can expect from your course, including teaching and learning styles, course structure, class formats, assessment, grade structures etc.


• Help you to understand what will be expected of you as a Deakin student, including class attendance, independent study, assessment submission etc.


• Allow you to meet other students in your course


• Allow you to meet the staff who will be teaching you, as well as the staff who will support you throughout your time at Deakin.
