- About Deakin
Deakin University was audited by AUQA in 2004 as part of its first cycle of reviews. The University welcomed this audit as an opportunity to receive valuable external opinion on the effectiveness of its quality assurance arrangements as well as its institutional planning and improvement processes. The audit was a whole-of-institution review conducted entirely by external auditors.
Deakin was delighted to receive an excellent Audit Report.
In preparing for the audit Deakin completed a critical self-review of its planning and quality improvement processes. The self-review resulted in the submission on 30 June 2004 of Deakin's Performance Portfolio (882 KB) . AUQA visited each of Deakin's Campuses in October 2004 and released its Audit Report on 2 March 2005.
Deakin released its framework for responding to the audit findings in the form of an AUQA Implementation Plan (181 KB). Since February 2006, periodic reports have been provided on progress against the Implementation Plan. The final version of the Progress Report (230 KB) is posted on this site. Reporting against the AUQA Implementation Plan was embedded in Deakin's annual planning cycle. Since 2010 these matters have been incorporated in the Quality Improvement Plan 2010-2011.
