About the Commercial Management Unit

The Commercial Management Unit contributes to the achievement of Deakin's goals through the provision of relevant and innovative commercial advice and support to all areas of the University. We seek to work in partnership with individual Faculties, Institutes and other areas to provide excellent and informative service and advice. Our philosophy is to encourage a collaborative and commercial approach to adding value in current operations and in the evaluation of new initiatives.

Commercial management includes:

• Capital expenditure and major projects due diligence
• Financial evaluation of "New Initiatives"
• Provision of commercial information and advice
• Systematic contract management
