Office of the Divisional Director  


This office is responsible for overseeing the Division's operations, ensuring that divisional objectives are achieved and that relevant performance indicators are routinely recorded and monitored. This office provides assistance and advice to Group Managers in the areas of finance and budgeting, human resources, policy development and implementation.

Assessments & Graduations  


The Assessments Group is responsible for the organisation and administration of both on and off-campus examinations, at all campuses of the University and at numerous locations both nationally and internationally.

Assignments for off campus students are received, despatched to assessors and returned to students, with the ability to track an assignment at any point in the process.

This group is also responsible for the collection, recording and release of assessment results for all on and off-campus students, as well as students with complementary enrolments from other universities. Additionally, the group administers the Special Consideration in the assessment process across the University.

Assessment services in examinations, assignment tracking and results are also provided for commercial clients in conjunction with DeakinPrime.

In addition, the group is in charge of the administration and organisation of the University's graduation and conferral ceremonies.

Customer Service & Business Services Group (BSG)  


Customer Service is responsible for the provision of information and support to all students in relation to admissions, enrolments, fees, examinations, assignment tracking, graduations and course information. The Group runs Deakin Central (one-stop-shop) on each campus and the call centre. The Group also provides University-wide switchboard activities.

The Business Services Group (BSG) provides support services for DeakinPrime and acts as the liaison between the various functional groups within DSA and with DeakinPrime and their clients and students.

Admissions, Enrolments & Records

The Admissions Group is responsible for the collation of materials and the despatch of enquiry packages. It also handles all applications for admission or re-admission to the University. Further, this team liaises with VTAC to ensure the successful co-ordination of each selection period for VTAC enrolments. In conjunction with Enrolments & Records, this team assists in the planning, scheduling and conducting of the VTAC enrolment days as well as enrolments via direct offers for award and non award programs.

The Enrolments & Records Group oversees the development, collation, planning and despatch of materials and information for all re-enrolments. The team also data processes documentation for new student enrolments for all award, non-award exchange and cross-institutional students. Additionally, it is responsible for the assessment of fees and charges associated with enrolment and maintenance of hard copy student records.

Fees & Scholarships  


The Fees & Scholarships group is responsible for the administration of fees, including setting fee reference data and preparing the University's Fees and Charges Policy. The group administers Corporate and Offshore Teaching Partners fee arrangements, including invoicing and disbursement. The University has offered many new Access, Accommodation and Merit scholarships to complement the Commonwealth Learning Scholarships offered by the Commonwealth Government. This group is responsible for the administration of all coursework scholarships as well as University-wide prizes.

Information Systems Group  


The Information Systems Group is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, support and implementation of projects within the University's Student Management System, Callista. It also provides ongoing IT solutions and support to meet the Division's internal and external client needs. A further responsibility is for the provision of timely and reliable hardware, network server and software support within the Division of Student Administration.
