Accessing an eLive session

Quick guide for students

There are a number of ways an eLive session can be accessed. This will depend on how the session has been set up. You will be advised of how to access the session.

Note: whilst Deakin students are automatically assigned the role of Participant in eLive sessions, this may vary depending on how the session is set up. You will be advised of your role in an eLive session.

Access an eLive session through Blackboard

  1. Login to DSO.
  2. Click on the title of the appropriate unit.
  3. Click on the web link for the eLive meeting room (this could be on the home page, in another folder or in a Learning Module).
  4. A new window will open asking for a Login Name and Password.

  1. Type in your Deakin username and password.
  2. Click the Log In button.
  3. The eLive session will open.
  4. Your name, along with other participants/moderators, will be listed in the Participants window.

Access an eLive session through an emailed invitation from a moderator

  1. Click on the link in the emailed invitation next to Meeting Link.
  2. A new window will open asking for a Login Name and Password.

  1. Type in your Deakin username and password.
  2. Click the Log In button.
  3. The eLive session will open.
  4. Your name, along with other participants/moderators, will be listed in the Participants window.

Access an eLive session through a meeting link on an eLive schedule

When you access the eLive schedule, you can enter public or private sessions.

  1. Access the eLive from the link in the left-hand menu of the DSO login page link opens in new window. Click on the Login directly to eLive link.
