Combating harassment and discrimination

Deakin University will not tolerate discrimination or sexual harassment.

Our key strategies for combating harassment and discrimination include:

  • policies that make clear everyone's responsibilities to prevent harassment and discrimination
  • staff training programs to educate and raise awareness, including the online Harassment and Discrimination training which all staff must complete
  • a network of trained Harassment and Discrimination Contact Officers who can provide advice, support and information.

What is discrimination?

What is sexual harassment?

Reporting harassment and discrimination

The University encourages all staff members and students to report discrimination and sexual harassment, and to participate in the resolution of incidents at the local level where possible.
