The 'Stepping out, breaking through: choices and challenges in education' conference is being held at Simonds Stadium, Geelong 27–28 August 2013.
Simonds Stadium, located just moments from Geelong city centre, is one of the largest and most prestigious venues in Victoria.
Simonds Stadium is the heart and soul of Kardinia Park in the centre of Geelong. Home to the Geelong Cats since its inception, Simonds Stadium is synonymous with AFL in Geelong.
There are many accommodation options within easy reach of the stadium.
Simonds Stadium is easily accessible by train, car and foot.
Geelong is 75 kilometres from Melbourne via the Westgate Bridge and Princes Highway. Once in Geelong the Princes Highway becomes Latrobe Terrace (no turns required), making the stadium’s main entrance from Latrobe Terrace easily locatable.
Public car parking is available at Simonds Stadium and the surrounding Kardinia Park. See the parking map for car park locations. Please note some car parks are closed in inclement weather.
A safe drop off area is available in the A2 car park Loading Zone.
Accessible parking is available within Kardinia Park. Vehicles must display a valid accessible parking permit to obtain access.
There are a number of bus stops located around Kardinia Park.
Geelong is approximately 1 hour from Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station, with Geelong Railway Station situated 1.8 kilometres to the north and South Geelong Station located 450 metres to the east of the stadium.

There are currently no formal taxi ranks located in Kardinia Park however taxis can be booked at any time by phoning 131 008.
Bicycles are not permitted inside Simonds Stadiums however there are currently limited bike racks available in Kardinia Park. Patrons are required to supply their own lock. Simonds Stadium Management are not responsible for any loss or damage to bicycles secured on site.
