What is DUPPP?
The Australian Government has set the goal that by 2020, 20% of undergraduate enrolments should be people from low socio-economic status (SES) backgrounds. The Government provides funding to help universities achieve this target, through the Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP).
This provides an exciting opportunity for Deakin to engage in innovative research and practical projects to substantially improve access and participation rates, the university experience, retention and graduate outcomes for students from low SES and regional backgrounds. These initiatives form the Deakin University Participation & Partnerships Program (DUPPP).
Equity and Diversity coordinates the allocation of DUPPP funds and oversees reporting on funded activities. Programs funded by the HEPPP are expected to be targeted, evidence-based, collaborative, and evaluated against clear Government quantitative targets. View current DUPPP initiatives.
