All staff and students are invited to join Equity and Diversity in celebrating International Women’s Day on Friday 8 March at events on four Deakin campuses.
This year the program will feature a brief welcome from a senior staff member, followed by the screening of a short documentary from UN Women (Australia) On Her Shoulders, which commemorates the centenary of International Women’s Day in 2011. Light refreshments will be served.
International Women's Day is a global celebration of the political and social achievements of women past, present and future. Your male colleagues are welcome, if you would like to invite them.
Events will be held on most Deakin campuses from 10.30 am until 11.30 am, except at Waurn Ponds, where the event will begin at 10.45 am.
10.30 am–11.30 am, Richard Searby room HD2.006
10.30 am–11.30 am, Western Beach Room
