All staff and students are invited to join the Equity and Diversity team in celebrating International Women’s Day on Monday 10 March at events on all campuses, under the banner ‘Inspiring women, inspiring change’. A long standing tradition at Deakin, the last three years' events have seen approximately 150 staff and students (men and women) come together to celebrate inspirational women and their achievements.
A program from 10.30 am to 12 pm on each campus will include a presentation by the Vice-Chancellor (video conferenced to all campuses), followed by a series of short personal presentations given by fellow staff and students and the opportunity to catch up with colleagues over morning tea.
International Women's Day is a global celebration of the political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
Events will be held on all Deakin campuses from 10.30 am until 12 pm.

We are seeking expressions of interest from the Deakin community to share their experiences and stories. If you would like to share your own experience or a story about an inspiring woman, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We will host three 5–10 minute presentations on each campus.
We would also like to feature stories of inspiring women (whether a short story, poem, video clip, etc.), in our Social Inclusion newsletter. Please send your entries to email@example.com.
