How to create a direct link to The Guide
Use the following instructions to create a direct, permanent hyperlink to a policy, procedure or other document in The Guide. There are different methods depending on whether you use Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer as your web browser.
Using Mozilla Firefox:
- Navigate through The Guide to the policy or procedure that you wish to link to.
- Right click with your cursor anywhere in the body of the policy or procedure.
- Select 'This frame' and then select 'Open frame in new tab'.
- Click on the new tab. The policy or procedure will open without the standard blue frame that normally appears when you are in The Guide.
- Copy the URL in the address bar of the web browser. Use this URL to create a permanent, direct link to the policy or procedure.
Using Internet Explorer:
- Navigate through The Guide to the policy or procedure that you wish to link to.
- Right click with your cursor anywhere in the body of the policy or procedure.
- Select 'Properties'.
- Copy the URL that is listed next to 'Address (URL)'.
- Use this URL to create a permanent, direct link to the policy or procedure.
