Campus Planning

Campus Planning supports the University's strategic goals and growth targets by providing services including:

• strategic property planning, including coordinating the development of campus master plans
• advice on real estate acquisition (and disposal) and town planning
• project feasibility assessments.

Campus Planning works closely with Space Utilisation to forecast future needs and plan for them intelligently through either the rejuvenation of old space or provision of newly built space. At all times these business areas must recognise and understand the impact of the changing pedagogy (teaching activity).

Campus Planning optimises the benefits of Deakin's planned developments and its owned and leased properties. There are currently 50 leased or licensed premises on Deakin’s campuses. The objective is to keep the University’s campuses and properties commercially viable and economically, socially and environmentally sustainable.
