Early excavation works for the Waurn Ponds Child Care Centre will create some road mess during the wet weather of July/August, however the roads are swept daily.

Starts 21/07/2014, finishes 31/10/2014

 

 

Works to install a new concrete footpath leading from Building na across to Building id (Chapel) at the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus are scheduled to commence Monday 21 July with an expected completion of mid October 2014, weather permitting.

There will be some disruption to pedestrian traffic during this time. Please observe all directional signage that will be in place.

We shall endeavour to keep any noise or inconvenience caused by the works to a minimum.

Return to the top of the page Extension of exercise circuit - Waurn Ponds

Starts 21/07/2014, finishes 14/11/2014

Works to extend the exercise circuit at the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus are scheduled to commence on Monday 21 July with an expected completion date of Friday 14 November 2014, weather permitting.

This will create a further 4km of gravel exercise circuit to the south of the campus near the student residences, and further west near the Management Centre.

Return to the top of the page Lift Upgrade Buildings ka and ic - Waurn Ponds

Starts 27/10/2014, finishes 19/12/2014

Works to upgrade the passenger lifts in Buildings ka and ic at the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus will commence Monday 27 October and continuing through to Friday 19 December 2014.

There will be no lift access available in the buildings during this time.

The responsible project officer from Facilities Services will be working with key stakeholders to ensure any concerns are addressed and have strategies in place for impacted occupants.

Return to the top of the page Residential Tennis Court Upgrade - Waurn Ponds

Starts 23/06/2014, finishes 26/09/2014

Stage one works to upgrade the residential tennis courts at the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus are scheduled to commence on Monday 23 June with an expected completion date of Friday 25 July 2014. This work will include demolition of the current facilities, asphalt resurfacing, line marking, new net assemblies and an upgrade to the lighting.

The courts will then reopen until Monday 15 September when stage two works will commence until Friday 26 September. This is when the new acrylic surface will be installed.

While works are in progress access to the courts will not be possible.

Starts 07/06/2014, finishes 01/09/2014

Staged works to upgrade all stairwells and balustrades on all levels of Building D at the Geelong Waterfront Campus are scheduled to commence Saturday 7 June with an expected completion date of Monday 1 September 2014.

With work being undertaken across all stairwells, walkways and landings, there will be some disruption to pedestrian traffic during this time. Please observe all directional signage that will be in place.

Return to the top of the page Dangerous Goods Store - Waurn Ponds - Waurn Ponds

Starts 31/03/2014, finishes 31/08/2014

A new Dangerous Goods Store will be under construction between March and August 2014. The proposed building will be named NN, a single storey building of approximately 270m2 located to the west of Building NA.

This new facility will meet appropriate Australian Standards for storage of dangerous goods, provide a consolidated and efficient delivery, storage, dispersal and waste collection point for dangerous materials and will accommodate both current and anticipated growth capacity requirements.

The access road between buildings NA and NN will remain open during the construction period. If specific closures are required, advance notice will be given.
