A new Dangerous Goods Store will be under construction between March and August 2014. The proposed building will be named NN, a single storey building of approximately 270m2 located to the west of Building NA.

This new facility will meet appropriate Australian Standards for storage of dangerous goods, provide a consolidated and efficient delivery, storage, dispersal and waste collection point for dangerous materials and will accommodate both current and anticipated growth capacity requirements.

The access road between buildings NA and NN will remain open during the construction period. If specific closures are required, advance notice will be given.

If you have any queries or concerns please contact Tim Hanley on ext 72650.

Facilities Services has engaged external consultants to audit the University's facilities across all campuses. These audits will occur through to June 2014 and include building interiors, facades, services, roads, paths, lighting, garden beds, signage, fencing, sporting facilities and shelters.

The auditors will attempt to limit any disruption to daily operations, and when a detailed program is available, we will provide more accurate time frames relating to access of specific areas and make contact directly with those responsible for these areas.

For further information, please contact Wesley Viti in the Facilities Services Division on extension 71161 or email wesley.viti@deakin.edu.au.
