Building K external repairs - Burwood

Starts 18/06/2013, finishes 13/08/2013

Works to refurbish the exterior of Building K at the Melbourne Burwood Campus are scheduled to commence on Tuesday 18 June with an expected completion date of 13 August 2013.

The works will include replacement of broken exterior wall cladding, upgrading of external security lighting and painting the exterior in contemporary colours.

We shall endeavour to keep any noise or inconvenience caused by the works to a minimum.

Refurbishment works Level 3 corridor Building B - Warrnambool

Starts 22/06/2013, finishes 14/07/2013

Works to refurbish the corridor on Level 3 of Building B at the Warrnambool Campus are scheduled to commence on 22 June with an expected completion date of 14 July 2013.

The works will include painting, new skirting, pin boards and corner trims.

Stair refurbishment Level 1 Costa Hall - Waterfront

Starts 12/08/2013, finishes 18/08/2013

Works to upgrade the stairway to Level 1 of Costa Hall at the Geelong Waterfront Campus are scheduled to commence Monday 12 August with an expected completion date of Sunday 18 August 2013.

The stairway is located back of house on the south western side of Building D.

Window rectification Level 4 exterior - Waterfront

Starts 29/06/2013, finishes 30/06/2013

Works to refurbish the Level 4 windows overlooking the John Hay Courtyard at the Geelong Waterfront Campus are scheduled for Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June 2013.

The aim of this work is to ensure ease of water runoff from the sills. The work will only affect the exterior windows and will be will be accessed via a boom lift in the courtyard.

Office refurbishment Level 1, Building D - Warrnambool

Starts 01/05/2013, finishes 01/07/2013

Works to refurbish Level 1 of Building D at the Warrnambool Campus are scheduled to commence in early May with an expected completion date of 1 July 2013.

The areas to be refurbished are rooms D1.44 to D1.52. Works will include demolition of internal walls, install new carpet, painting, new workstations and partitions and refurnish the kitchen area.

Toilet refurbishments in Hay Building, level 2 and 3 - Waterfront

Starts 05/04/2013, finishes 01/07/2013

The following toilets will be closed for refurbishment from Monday 8 April until June 2013:

Hay Level 2 toilets next to security office. Alternatives toilets are available on level 2 behind Deakin Central and on level 1near the Waterfront Kitchen.
Hay level 3 toilets out the front of the library. Alternative toilets are available on level 3 inside the library and on level 3 inside the teaching space hub.
Hay level 3 female toilets out the front of Costa Hall. Alternative toilets are available on level 3 inside Costa Hall and on level 2 next to Costa Hall.

Energy Audits - Burwood/Warrnambool/Waterfront/Waurn Ponds

Starts 11/02/2013, finishes 30/11/2013

Consultants from GHD will be conducting a series of energy audits across all buildings at all campuses which will include a visual inspection of all spaces and monitoring power consumption.

This is to collect and review current energy use per building and the resultant recommendations will be used to assist with future building upgrades with the aim of improve energy efficiency.
