The Internal Support Business Area was created in 2002 with the brief to centralise a number of core administrative functions under one area of responsibility, to improve efficiency and allow FMSD team-members to focus on their areas of expertise. The activities undertaken by this business area include:
- accounts processing and financial reporting
- Information Technology help desk and development
- occupational health and safety and risk management
- front desk customer service
- work request data processing and reporting
- Quality Assurance System Management – ISO 9001
- executive assistance for senior staff across all business areas
- architectural and building services drawings management.
