Central Precinct Project

Central Precinct is designed to be multifunctional and flexible in a way that allows Deakin to meet current and future needs.
The Central Precinct project is a collection of four buildings around a central atrium space – creating a new sheltered heart for Deakin University’s Melbourne Campus at  Burwood, adjacent to the landscaped environment of Gardiners Creek.
 

 

Good Design

Good Design at Deakin includes Environmental Sustainability.

Sustainable initiatives incorporated in the project include additional insulation to all walls/roofs/ceilings, mixed-mode temperature control with an accent on natural venting, lighting facilities with an accent on day lighting and the consideration of all materials, systems and equipment.
