Masterplanning

What is a Masterplan?

A Masterplan sets broad guidelines that govern any proposed future development. Any future specific building projects are assessed and measured against the Masterplan.

A Masterplan is NOT a development plan or a building plan. The Masterplan sets out where any future buildings can and cannot be located; it should not be taken to imply that buildings will be built on all the available sites.

Who is our Masterplanner?

The Masterplanner for Deakin’s Geelong Waterfront Campus is Dr Kenn Fisher.

Dr Fisher is an internationally recognised specialist in university campus masterplanning. He has held a number of appointments as a facility and campus planner and as a project, facility and design manager. He has also been employed as a teacher and as an academic.

Dr Fisher has been engaged by more than 30 universities around the world, as well as vocational training and community college clients, State and National Government Ministries of Training and Education and school, Government and corporate organisations.
