Important dates

Census dates

The census date is the last date you can:

• submit an Commonwealth Assistance Form (CAF)
• access for HECS-HELP for your course via the CAF link in StudentConnect
• supply your tax file number if utilising HECS-HELP
• withdraw from a unit or a course without full financial liability
• withdraw from a unit without it appearing on your academic record.

Trimester start dates

A listing of trimester dates can be found in the online handbook.  Teaching start dates for the 2012 trimesters are as follows:

• Trimester 1 – Monday 5 March 2012 (Orientation Week starts Monday 27 February)
• Trimester 2 – Monday 9 July 2012
• Trimester 3 – Monday 12 November 2012
