Your student ID card is your Deakin Card
Your student ID card, known as your Deakin Card, is your passport to many services at Deakin University. As well as being an essential form of ID, it allows you to avoid carrying loose change on campus. Load money onto your card and it can be used to pay for goods and services across campus, including computer lab printing, library printing, photocopying and microfiche copying, and items from most on-campus retail outlets and some vending machines.
The Deakin Card web site
Check the Deakin Card web site www.deakin.edu.au/deakincard/ for information on where and how you can use your Deakin Card, as well as special offers and the latest news. You can also use the web site to manage your account online, check your balance, get your transaction history and report (and inactivate) your card if it is lost or stolen.
Terms and conditions
When you collect your card, you will receive an important pamphlet called Deakin Card: disclosure document user guide and terms and conditions for stored-value use. If you lose the pamphlet, don’t worry, all the information is listed on our web site www.deakin.edu.au/deakincard/
Your parents can load money onto your Deakin Card too!
If your parents would like to load money onto your Deakin Card, they can do so by calling the cashier offices on weekdays between 9 am and 4 pm on one of these numbers:

They will need to have their credit card details and your Student ID number ready.

Some specials and offers just to get you started in 2012 are:

To get you started, Student Life is offering you the chance to WIN $200 worth of credit on your Deakin Card! Your Deakin Card can be used to pay for a variety of services across campus including printing and photocopying, as well as for goods at food outlets, bookshops and vending machines. More information on where you can use your card can be found at deakin.edu.au/deakincard/.
To enter, load a minimum of $5 onto your card at one of the reload stations (make sure you keep your receipt), then fill in the entry form available at the Student Life office or Deakin Central, attach your receipt and put it in the Deakin Card Competition box at Deakin Central by 3 pm on 23 March 2012. The winner will be drawn on 30 March 2012.
Please note, entry is subject to the following conditions:
- This competition is only open to first year students in 2012. Only one entry per person.
- Entries close 3 pm, 23 March 2012. Winner will be randomly drawn on 30 March 2012. Winner will be notified.
- Entry forms and competition boxes are located at Deakin Central.
- If reload stations are temporarily offline, money can also be loaded at the cashier office or at Deakin Central.
- Total prize value is $200 of Deakin Card credit. Prize is not redeemable for cash.
- Deakin University reserves the right to publish names and photographs of the winners.
