Enrolment and deferral of your studies

If your application to study at Deakin is successful you will be sent comprehensive information and instructions on how to enrol in your course and who to contact for help.

If it is not the right time for you to commence your studies, or you need to take a break from your studies, Deakin University generally allows deferment for one academic year for most courses. This means you can postpone your studies but still retain your university place. If you do wish to defer your studies please complete the Deferral of Offer form (29KB).

International students who wish to defer the commencement of the program prior to enrolment from the date in the Letter of Offer should contact the staff member listed in the offer.

Deferral of fee places from 2008

If you have deferred a fee-paying place in a course for 2008, you will be able to take up your fee-paying place in 2009. If you wish to be considered for a CSP place in 2009 you will need to submit a new application through the VTAC website.

If you have any questions or would like to know more about deferring, please contact Customer Service:
