Apply through VTAC by 10 December (5pm) to study at Deakin University
Applying to study at Deakin is easy. Whether you are a current Year 12 student, TAFE or private provider student or graduate, mature-age student, currently studying at another university, in the workforce or taking a gap year, you can apply to study most of Deakin’s undergraduate courses through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC).

Changing your preference to Deakin
If you have already applied for a course through VTAC, you have the opportunity to change your preference to make Deakin your first choice.
'Change of Preference' takes place from 29 November-20 December. This is an opportunity to add, delete or change courses on your VTAC application list.

To apply, you will need to have demonstrated evidence of research training equivalent to an Australian honours degree (there are varying standards depending on which research degree you apply for).
No fees are charged for domestic students undertaking research degrees. Scholarships that pay a tax-free stipend are available on a competitive basis to both domestic and international applicants.
