Studying abroad at Deakin gives you a great opportunity to discover the unique wonders of Australia while giving you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore a new culture and make new friends.
The Study Abroad program is for students enrolled at an overseas university who wish to study for 1 or 2 trimesters at Deakin University. Deakin University uses a trimester system, which is equivalent in course load and duration to the previous semester system. Two trimesters are still equal to a full academic year. Deakin's Study Abroad program allows students to select units (courses) of study from across all four Deakin Faculties.
The Faculty of Business and Law contains five schools - Accounting, Economics and Finance; Law; Information Systems; Management and Marketing; and the Deakin Graduate School of Business. The Faculty are committed to extending the boundaries of business and legal education. The Faculty aims to achieve this through close relationships with professional associations, other education providers and universities, business, employers and government-across Australia and internationally.
The Faculty of Business and Law offers courses on three campuses (Burwood (Melbourne), Waterfront (Geelong) and Warrnambool) as well as by distance education throughout the world.
Look for units (courses/classes) you can take at Deakin University using the unit search. Use the keyword (your field of study for example marketing), trimester start and year level to refine your search. For assistance with finding units or further information on the classes available to Study Abroad students, email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Students applying directly to Deakin University are required to pay:
Please note that tuition fees are likely to increase annually, and that if your program of study starts in one academic year and finishes in the next, the fee for the subsequent year will be the fee set by the University for that subsequent year.
These fees include tuition, Beach orientation program, airport reception and transfer upon arrival, on-going student support and your academic transcript upon completion of trimester. The Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is a compulsory Australian Government fee covering basic medical and hospital care.
The above fees do not include accommodation, travel, books and general living costs. The Study Abroad tuition fee is a flat fee regardless of the number of units taken. Fees for continuing students are assessed and invoiced before the beginning of each trimester and must be paid by the due date. Non-payment of fees will result in termination of enrolment. Fees for new students must be paid before a student visa can be issued. Students are advised to read Deakin's Fees and Refund Policy.
